Raja Yoga

with Gabriele

Date: 26 October 2018

Time : 5.00 pm - 6.30 pm

Venue : ILC Hall

Description:

Raja Yoga is the path of self-discipline and practice. Raja means king, and a king acts with independence, self-confidence and assurance. Practicing Raja Yoga helps you develop a positive attitude and respond better to situations.

We begin each session with brief theory drawn from ancient yogic wisdom. Each week we will consider one of the Yamas and Niyamas, which are the first two limbs of Raja Yoga (also known as the eight-limbed path of Yoga based on the Sutras of Patanjali).

Next we will follow a traditional Hatha Yoga sequence, bringing the theory into practice. You will soon feel how body, mind and energy work together and affect each other synergistically.
